EKSPLORASI DAN KARAKTERISASI KANTONG SEMAR (Nepenthes sp) DI KAWASAN HUTAN JALAN MEREK-SIDIKALANG, LAE PONDOM, MEREK, KABUPATEN KARO

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis Nepenthes di Kawasan Hutan Jalan Merek-Sidikalang, Lae Pondom, Merek, Kabupaten Karo, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksploratif. Penelitian dilakukan selama bulan November-Desember 2019. Hasil penelitian ditemukan dua jenis Nepenthes yaitu Nepenthes spectabilis Danser dan Nepenthes tobaica Danser. N. spectabilis Danser ditemukan pada ketinggian 1486- 1508 m dpl dengan suhu 23-250C dan N. tobaica Danser ditemukan pada ketinggian 1501-1510 m dpl dengan suhu 230C. Hasil identifikasi Nepenthes yang dilakukan berdasarkan rujukan dari buku-buku Flora of Java, Flora Malesiana, Nepenthes of Sumatra, Nepenthes of Borneo bahwa bentuk-bentuk morfologi kedua Nepenthes tersebut sangat berbeda berdasarkan morfologi batang, daun, kantong, akar dan bunga. Namun demikian, diperlukan penelitian lanjut terkait identifikasi Nepenthes dengan lokasi yang berbeda agar menjadi informasi tambahan.
